Growth is inevitable for the success of Information Technology businesses. Companies outgrow their IT hardware or retire old equipment. When this happens, the older hardware must make room for new technology and equipment to allow the company to grow and compete in the marketplace. What happens to obsolete equipment that can take up valuable storage space in an office with scarce real estate?
Our Recycling department specializes in on-site electronic waste packaging, pickup, and transport. Once the Covered Electronic Waste (CEW) is collected from the customer's site (free of charge) and transported to our recycling facility, it is recorded in our database and broken down for recycling. During the process, data sensitive items are processed according to Department of Defense standards for data cleaning magnetic storage disks. Once the data has been cleaned from the storage devices, they are broken down along with nondata sensitive items for recycling. Upon completion of data cleaning, a certificate of data destruction is issued to the original source of the CEW. Hazardous materials and non-recyclable items in the CEW are disposed of in an environmentally-friendly manner.
